Sigrid’s artistic journey is one of lifelong devotion—an exploration of nature’s forms, textures, and rhythms through an ever-evolving creative practice. Born and raised in Berlin, Germany, she studied fashion, design, art, and costume history before working in the fashion industry.
Dividing her time between Berlin and Puerto Rico, Sigrid draws deep inspiration from the natural landscapes that surround her. Her work is a dialogue with nature, capturing the vibrancy of the tropics and the quiet, shifting moods of the seasons. Using an experimental approach, she layers materials such as acrylics, watercolors, rice paper, and other mixed media on paper to create semi-abstract compositions. Through these layered textures, she reflects nature’s cycles. Her work celebrates the relationships we can form with our surroundings—if we choose to listen.
Throughout her career, Sigrid has participated in numerous group exhibitions and solo shows. Her work has been exhibited in renowned institutions such as the Ponce Museum of Art and is included in the corporate collections of leading global companies, including Johnson & Johnson, SmithKline Beecham, and Bristol Myers. Additionally, her paintings have been featured in many of Puerto Rico’s major hotels.
Through decades of artistic evolution, Sigrid’s vision has remained constant—her fascination with nature’s language and her commitment to capturing its beauty in new and unexpected ways.
